It's too bad they are, or I would buy that. I wonder if this is a 'de-fished' 10-17? Time will tell. And does the tape on the focal scale window mean they have FINALLY implemented my 20+ year old idea of a wide zoom having a digital hyper-focal scale that reacts to the zoom focal length? I hope so, and if so, Ricoh, please send your royalty cheques to stave off the impending lawsuit to Cameron Hood...

Nice lens, Pentax; yay for APSC!

It's to bad my K3ii is SOO noisy at ISO 52,000...

Cheers,
Cameron
There is no such thing as "de-fishing" a fish eye. The DA fish-eye zoom is a completely different beast. It's not rectlinear and it is much slower. You can't turn it into a rectlinear f2.8 zoom with some simple "de-fish-eye" process. The lens designs will be different from the first array.

Not a fisheye for sure.
Then again, has anyone ever seen a fisheye zoom lens? Just curious here.

Pentax F17-28/3.5-4.5 FISH EYE.

Weird sort of lens. Mine has a hitch in the zoom. Who would fix it?

Of course, the Pentax DA 10-17 for APSC and the older F17-28. Both are fisheye zooms.

The current DA 10-17 is a fisheye, too.

i don't think any of the laowa lenses have an aperture lever or any contacts.
The 12mm has an apperture lever and an A position.

The question was, will it work on full frame? Why you would want to use it on full frame is another question.

The users from Penta-club say that it's not easy-to-use during trips and any travel....TWO light wide-angle prime lenses could be better.

Looks fantastic! I have been using a Sigma 12-24 FF and the images are fantastic. The downside is variable aperture. Although I would love to upscale to FF the image quality from my K3 using FF lenses are great. However that looks like the next purchase but well have to see.

Penta-club? What's that?

And I'm sorry but I can't see two primes in the bag being easier to deal with than a single zoom. Like, come on, seriously?

It's Russian Pentax club.

Did you ever see FA20/2.8 or FA 28/2.8, for example? Or Voigtländer Lenses for M-mount?

DFA15-30
Diameter x length 98.5mm x 143.5mm
Weight approx.1040g
1 KG!!!!

You can"t use any common filters with DFA15-30. Do you know it?

For example,

FA20/2.8
70 x 43.5 mm and 255 g

FA31
65 x 69 mm and 345 g

or
FA 28/2.8
65 x 41 mm and 185 g
