What, you mean no pancake 135mm f1.4 version is forthcoming?
Darn, and I was starting to write the check.
Joking aside, we are a fickle lot aren't we. With IBIS we gain several stops, then with new sensors we gain more stops effectively, and yet, we balk at stuff we really don't want or need just because someone had the audacity to offer it in a K mount.
I wish more 3rd party lenses were offered in K mount, no matter how much I personally want or don't want one, because it is good for Ricoh if they do.
I can just imagine if most of todays Digital shooters who never shot film had to deal with the narrow latitude of slow slide film... or if they had to deal with the grain of real 3200 film... and that was considered exotic... iso512000? heh heh... I never saw a roll of that on the shelf. Sure, we pushed some films a few stops, but you ran out of headroom fast. Blurry clumps of grain were examined and praised for being almost recognizable! LOL!
These ARE the good old days, right now, we are just too caught up in sales hype and competition in the spec wars to appreciate it.
