My guess is that there are going to be the addition of the DFA *50 to the lens database in the camera and "improvements in camera stability."
It's a bit early for adding support for the D FA* 50mm; I really hope they won't miss the improved stability for general performance though

I'm starting to think asahi man heard about the 1.43 firmware... with a one month delay.

I do not know why so many people are worked up about this. It is unlikely to be more than a small maintenance issue with code for the new lens. It is always fun to get a firmware update but is rarely anything significant. If a new firmware is on the way it will arrive when it is ready. Hopefully not before!

Well, the were a couple of pretty significant updates for the K-1 giving new features - and we were promised another at the beginning of the year

Sorry. I've been working on my inflammatory posts, but I just never can get the nerve to actually submit them.

Pull yourself together, man! Where would the Internet be today if everyone behaved that way?!

Some people work on levelheaded posts, and even post levelheaded for a while. Eventually, though, their inner flameon is always revealed.

I know, I know.

I'm making some New Year's Resolutions.

(1) Take up drinking.
(2) Only post drunk
(3) Take fewer pictures and actually double my number of posts.

I think if I can achieve these, maybe I can rule the internet someday.

When using non A legacy lenses it would be nice instead of being stuck with ƒ -- registering for the aperture the user having the ability to turn the wheel to set the aperture that is being used. There are two benefits. The aperture is recorded and while shooting the aperture will show in the view finder. This late in the game Ricoh/Pentax should get over what ever their reasoning behind not allowing this for so many years now.

When switching between manual still and Video modes on the K-1 the shutter and aperture settings carry over back and forth forcing the user to reset both when switching between the two. This needs to be corrected as it makes a quick switch between video and stills impossible. The ISO setting is retained when switching between the two modes.
