My guess is that the NX500 is another case where lacking a viewfinder caused a camera to be under-rated.

That is true even if you put in D500 instead of the D7500

Of course, a true comparison there would include more than just sensor, but sensor would be a good start. New sensors plus new processor would probably make most people happy {then there is AF}

Well,maybe Ricoh got the BSI 28mp sensor from NX1/500...or the new one that the rumours indicate is in XT3?

We don't know for certain that the new processor is compatible with the 'accelerator', but integrating all these pieces could explain this unexpected delay.

Yes, thats certainly a possibility.

IF(and its big) it all comes together,it will certainly be a celebration day when the news becomes official....btw,any news is good news as opposed to being treated like mushrooms.

Lower noise with better resolution and more fps. NX500 is even better than NX1.

Are you aware that the Samsung sensor "rumoured" to be in XT3 and the one Ricoh is "rumoured" to have acquired(along with the Samsung Processor) is not the 4 year old BSI 28mp chip in the NX1/500?

So in fact, these Dxo tests were relevant 4 years ago but not for whats supposedly coming.

Ricoh still uses old 24 MP APS-C Sony sensor, but with acceleration unit. No new sensors in Pentax cameras.

Mmm are we even sure the KP sensor is the same as in the K3 ?

I'm quite sure both k-70 and KP use different sensors than K-3. Both have different effective pixel count and DR than k-3 and on sensor phase detection.
