My dream team in Pentax stable:
New three f2.8 da*:
11-18
16-50
50-135
And at least 3 f1.8 or at least f2.0 new da Limiteds with silent motor and wr:
~20
~40
~70
Would set my list for few years. For this Limiteds I would buy KP and for da* new "flagship".

OH, many will disagree.

These systems will grow...they do things now that RI would love to be able to provide in the market.

Most of the ignorant reviewers have skimmed over the specs and formed their opinions, they will change!

After seeing the RF 50mm f/1.2 and Z 58mm f/0.95, that statement makes me shudder.

Obviously I don't have the cameras in hand... But $3500 for a camera that doesn't have dual card slots? That's a fail already and I don't even have to press the shutter...

I've watched almost every review out there and almost everyone agrees these are not worth their price point.

Sure, they will improve over time. But first iteration is sad. I know they priced it here so their 'next' model can be justified at even higher prices. But that's not fair play in my opinion.

They are simply not worth it at this point.

It will get faster and bigger, they showed their hands and will try to outdo each other.

28-70mm,stack of primes sets a high standard.Nikon will react in some way.$$$ony should too.

No thanks, I'd rather have the D FA* 50mm than some impractical weird monster lens. Wait, I do have it.

But that comes from the same mindset, that says large is OK as long as it is wide and perfect - a big change from the Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4.

I would not.
I might get another D FA* though... and almost certainly the ultra wide.

Ive watched and read quite a bit too, value is just an opinion.

These releases are priced where they will compete with the other similar devices.

Better watch the other reviews you missed!

Pentax did "large" right. The Canon RF though... externally it's larger than the D FA*, but the glass elements - at least the front ones - are smaller diameter despite being faster. That lens is actually a front focus design, with an inner tube sliding inside a fixed outer tube.
A review claimed -4EV vignetting - now I see why.

What other similar devices?
The XT-3 destroys these cameras and I could buy two XT-3s and have $500 left over...
If the argument is that the XT-3 is crop... then okay, the A7riii is $500 cheaper, and has WAY more functionality than these two cameras.

And what am I missed here? Both cameras have single card slots, do they not? Unless the specs on B&H are wrong?

Yes, do you research and you will find why.

Orrr you could just tell me (all of us) to save me the time

I meant no dual card slot is a failure to me as a photographer. If it's a technical limitation than so be it, but once you've had a card failure you will NEVER buy a single card slot camera again, regardless of the excuses made by the manufacturer.

XT-3 is GOAT... I want one.
