The most important thing is that there is new GR, and it is sufficiently better than the GR Classic and GR II that folks will sell-off those cameras and create a surplus in the used market, driving prices down, thus allowing me to pick one up for $200.

Man, someone in Ottawa recently was selling a GR for $600 CAD.

Speaking about Pentax FF MILC is pointless because that project is abandoned by Ricoh 6 years ago.
They decided that Pentax brand name will be dedicated to DSLRs until it is their ownership.

Pentax is for interchangeable lens camera's. Ricoh for Fixed lens camera's. Ricoh has said in the past they are looking at mirrorless but think the EVF isn't good enough yet.

I usually skip the rumo(u)rs section but this thread has provided more laughs and giggles per page than any other in recent memory

I particularly liked the artwork from 2010, the tracing of the rumors to wishful thinking on this and other forums, and the old white on ~~black~~ red ads from a decade ago. It all truly made my day!

If Ricoh is determined that Pentax should be an image-centric camera company they should just own it and have fun with it. At least in EU and NA. The classic Spotmatic prism hump could become a 60’s Cargo Cult Icon . . .

A good way to reuse a bunch of 36MP FF sensors from K1 and time to thiink about an K1 follow up with more MP.

Precisely the sort of advertising that Ricoh/Pentax needs to do. Very effective IMHO.

Sony will sell any sensor they make at any time to any willing buyer - at a price. The only question is what would RIcoh Imaging pay to put a FF sensor in a GR - and what other technology would they fold in - because GR people would pay whatever Ricoh charges if the DNA is still there.
