Most people wouldn't buy the more expensive camera if its no better - based on their individual needs - than the cheaper model. I say again, better and worse depend on the individual's requirements

I only replied since you mentioned the A7, but you're absolutely right - we should stick to topic. Consider my wrist well-and-truly slapped

My sonís 7D is faster, has a deeper buffer, does better video and I think it is touch-screen. Pentax better get with the program on K-1 Super. And the new APSc flagship better be a complete new design (ending the K-7 platform) or Iím jumping ship. Anybody want a complete lens collection?
Did anyone stole you pentax forum account password to write this sentence?

You'd jump ship if the next APS-C flagship Pentax DSLR looks like a K-7? Can I have your DA 40mm Ltd? Would also take your K 50 f4 Macro. I mean, if you're just going to toss them out... I don't see how Pentax could keep you happy on this one.

Don't worry, just produce some stunning imagery with what you have, the K1 is more than capable.

Yeah, I was shocked when I heard the K-3II had been discontinued, but luckily mine is still working just fine

Aye is easy to become hooked up in the vicious cycle of upgrades and to lose sight of what cameras are here to do...

I need a very real shortfall or a major reason to upgrade, i.e. my Pentax jump from K20D's to FF K1's

hhhmmmm - wonder if a short fall down the right steps might result in a nice windfall for the right camera?

I doubt it. There's a fall in short fall insurance windfalls caused by fraud fall-out...

Wow... I see we're getting into "She sells sea shells by the sea shore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I'm sure she sells seashore shells." with that last statement.

Have you check if it is still operating at the same speed? Some electronics makers (named like a fruit) slow down CPUs to push their customers to upgrade.
