Question: When the K3ii supplanted the K3, did it keep the same price point? I wasn't around back then.

It went up but not as high as introduction price of course I think.
Now K3II was slight update.
K1II we dunno.

The K-3ii came in well below the launch price of the K-3 IIRC - but I think they were partly using it to trial some tech for the K-1, and wanted a reasonable uptake. K-3iii will be (should be) a different beast and priced at market rate (which for Pentax is still competitive, but not cheap)
