Looks about the same as the K-1.
I don't mean the screen itself, I mean one of the data.

Guys, don't you notice anything?
That f/1.4 in M Mode looks pretty tasty at ISO 400 and 1/250. I wonder what FL the attached lens is?

(No way it could be a manual lens with on-body aperture control. Just. No. Way.)

It isn’t. But it’s good, nonetheless.

So they have the new 50mm or the old 50mm attached. OK

if they actually improved the flash sync speed that would be a boon to studio photographers and would mean an improved shutter mechanism....which might mean a faster FPS or other goodies. of course it could also be fooling us.

Oddly enough, you didn't quote the possibility of the K-1 II being showcased with the first new lens resulting from the partnership between KMZ and Ricoh. I wonder why...

Yet ePHOTOzine gave us a hint as early as December 2016:

Where? Hiding behind the DA 20-40???
I would suggest your having a second look. The lens above is definitely not the HD Pentax-DA 20-40mm f/2.8-4 Limited. Actually, it's an 85mm f/1.5 f/2.

The original image doesn't, he has just altered it to show that the number doesn't signify huge changes in design/spec.

Flash sync improvement is a bonus.
If it is the new lens, even better!

With what is already rumoured about the K-1 II, it looks like we'll have a useful upgrade to tide us over while the next generation full frame is developed.

Given that nobody expected a new model for at least another year or so, feeling short-changed seems a bit disingenuous
