Is snark compulsive or just a sad attempt to sound cool to the Coolios?

What on earth is the point of a teaser image of a camera that looks identical to its predecessor, (if that is indeed the case)?
oh man

Pentax is better at engineering than at marketing.

K3 ii release is from April 2015
K3 platform is from 2013...
An update IS obviously necessary, the longer than expected wait could be necessary because of R&D issues or resources allocation for instance. In any case planning is part of the challenge and it seems Pentax is not good at it at the moment.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Where is the reason to complain?
Why should one need a reason, or even reason, to complain?

Really interested in what all the accelerator chip can do. And if it is the same as in the KP, or version two. I am wondering if that is how they plan to improve AF tracking? It has been said before that the SAFOX system just does not have the horsepower to handle the calculations needed for tracking. Beyond my expertise, just thinking out loud.
Anyone with a KP and a PLM lens tried the AF tracking?

I heard that about this time last year, though not from any source that would have been in the know

I am not too concerned, however. I am quite happy with my current kit and not in the market. That may change if I have some form of gear failure/damage and if that happens, I will be quite happy replacing with a K-3II (while they last) and will only be mildly ticked if its replacement has a blockbuster feature.

They will soon do that for their new lenses, ŕ la Meyer-Optik Görlitz:
...except for net SE (Meyer Optik's umbrella parent), the Kickstarter campaigns are just a way to get cheap marketing and penetration without an established dealer network. They always satisfy incredibly short development cycles with predictably high supporter response from campaigns that are woefully inadequate to actually fund development and tooling.
