+1 for 70-200 F4. The 2.8 is too beastly for my needs. Hope it will be somewhat lighter smaller than 60-250, with internal focus & zoom.

70-200/4 could be the new Tamron 70-210/4, but lets see.

I don't really mind/care so long as there are more modern lens options.

Looks like WA and UWA primes are a while away for me, so I will have to look at the current options first and decide in 2019/2020 if I will swap to the Pentax options.
Not that I really need any more lenses actually...

Great to see new lenses being introduced for 2018/19. Great show of faith in Pentax from Ricoh, IMO.

I wonder if this is an adaptation of the Tokina 70-200 f/4 or a fresh formula?
According to my sources it is very probable

That lens has built in stabilization. Yet the Pentax version without it will probably be more expensive.

Only one FF lens for this year! And the "Telephoto Zoom Lens" slated for "2019 or later", which doesn't inspire confidence.
I'm waiting for a "2019 or later" lens... perhaps I should look for alternatives.
Once again, the roadmap makes a lot of sense but the execution speed is disappointing.

With my needs in mind there is already the 60-250 f/4 that with a little mod covers the FF, I own it and now it's glued to my k-1. Surely a dedicated design as the DFA 70-200 f/4 would be better but it may not be a win-win choice.

If you look at the center of the gold stripe for the "Large Aperture Wide-angle single focus lens" it seems in the 31mm.....
The red stripe of the Ultra wide-angle single focus lens seems in the 18mm ....

Big disappointment because I don't see a 24-90 f/4 or 24-105 f/4.

But why the red for some stripes?

Happy to see the 70-200/4 on the map even though I'm not too interested in that range. Lighter alternatives to the big ones are very welcome.

I don't have any immediate lens itches to scratch, though. I would be very interested in a (relatively!) light-weight tele zoom, and also a FF compatible TC, but for everything else I'm covered well enough.

I would not be surprised if one of those is in the planning but not on the road map yet, to compliment the 70-200f4

Thank you Ricoh for considering my spending. Postposing the 85/1.4 to 2019 is the best thing they could have done for my budget. Now I don't have to make the choice between the 11-18/2.8 and the 85/1.4. I'll just get the 11-18 this year, and the 85 next year! :-D

That's for lenses which are in the distance - when they get a name/focal length, the turn yellow/orange or green.
