Absolutely... outside of the afford pro-grade. Who looks at pro shooters these days for what they use?
Looking at the lens releases, they are targeting enthusiasts as well as 'professionals.' That 70-200 f/4 is an attractive name to arrive on the roadmap imo. Far far far more attractive than 85 f/1.4 .. and I suspect there are many more non-pros in the market for a 70-200 f/4 than pros looking for an 85 f/1.4 in K mount.
So while you, kenspo, might tell your Ricoh bosses the 70-200 f/4 is not what you're expecting (which is fair), I hope they know not
everyone thinks that. This lens is a vital piece to the mid range selection and will pair well on both crop and FF bodies.
Now, Release a sharp 17-35mm that accepts 82mm or smaller filters and we have a home run.
