I not sure SR is going to work well for GR, at least not sensor stabilization. It would probably add at least 50% on both weight and size.

Optical stabilisation might add less weight, but would make the lens bigger and make the camera less of a pocket camera as it is today.

Bingo!!! EVF as option would be good too.

SR will add bulk.

They've put SR in the Q though. We'll see.

Q has tiny sensor. GR has APS-C, KP is the smalls size of body for APS-S with SR

All good to hear - I haven't looked at the rumour section here in quite some time.

Honestly, I do wonder what is coming. I'd be happy with a 24MP update using the existing form factor and lens for better landscape cropping.

I really have gotten a lot of wonderful pictures and memories out of my GR classic. I'll start saving my pennies.

Both these cameras have sensors that are one ninth the size of the GR sensor. So there are room for SR with much smaller sensors.

It's like asking Ricoh to design a medium format camera with SR the size of Pentax KP. It's already amazing that Hasselblad managed to make a small camera like this without sensor stabilization.

I'm not saying they'll do it; just that I'd like if they would. If possible.
It's too late anyway for any drastic change of the project; it either has SR now, or it won't have it. We'll see.

Not only shake reduction, but more advanced features like "skew correction"

Can't believe how advance and how good it is made. it's a 2008 camera.

I like the snap mode and step zoom. It is really a nice street camera.

And GX200 was just a minor refresh of the GX100 that came 18 month earlier. Ricoh back then where ahead of it's time in many ways. I think GX100 might have been the first P&S with 24-70 mm eq zoom when most others had 35-105 mm, and first with removable EVF option.

I can't remember which camera it was, but Ricoh had something similar to Pixel Shift tech in a camera 10-15 years ago.

I doubt it will happen, but I wish Ricoh would come with a modern version of the GX100/200, using a 1" sensor.
