Update on the optical scheme of the new HD PENTAX-D FA 50mm f/1.4 SDM AW

News from Pentax House !

Some news concerning the next optical scheme of the new HD PENTAX-D FA 50mm f/1.4 SDM AW would seem to be clearer from the side to side of rival Sigma 50 Art,
but the most relevant thing seems to be that this lens is developed and patented by Pentax and Pentax produced.

Remember the Pentax K3 in the back was written Ricoh in the K3II no longer only Pentax, evidently many things change and we only know a part of it.

I think you're a bit harsh. Pentax Rumors clearly state that their information comes from asahi man and provide links to his posts in the Digital Photography Review forum. So did Kunzite here DFA*50 1.4 coming - Page 202 - PentaxForums.com.

I will laugh to myself when this lens is released, and again when Pentax receives royalty revenue from Canon and Nikon buyers of the Tokina version. I hope many people buy a Pentax camera just to get the Pentax version. I hope they do the same with the *35 and *85. I hope there is a string of lens releases that wows the reviewer community. I hope the re-worked DA*’s are shockingly good. I hope the ~~rumored~~ promised ‘more Limiteds’ is true.

I hope The Plan is lenses. I hope some day Pentax is once again revered as an optics company.

They have to modify it somewhat to remove the in-lens stabilization, unless they want to include that as well and glue it in place.

I agree about libel.
But Pentax bashers? Hell yes.
DPR itself is questionable...

I've made a bad reputation there (and was even suggested to pack my stuff and move away) because I won't stand for bashing.
Bashing is, IMHO, despicable - regardless of the brand.

OTOH, there are many good people there, too. Some also being members of this forum.
