new entry level body will be..

Pentax's new entry level camera with 1200mp Sony sensor(like a700, D300, D90) or 1450mp Samsung sensor(like K20D).
not 1000mp Sony sensor (like K10D, K200D).

because it does not support liveview function.
liveview is big stream of entry level, so Pentax will be put in liveview as essential function.

ps. Sony a300 is using Sony 1000mp sensor.
but it has liveview. because it using subsensor on pentaprism for liveview.

Correct, Liveview IS a marketing thing, and a hot one right now, especially to the consumers a low end DSLR is aimed at (first time DSLR buyers, former P&S users, etc.). In regards to Liveview, love it or hate it, will be a feature found on many, if not almost every DSLR released from now on, high or low end.

Liveview may be a marketing thing, but I have been able to put even the very poor implementation of it on the K20D to very good use. It is practical in exceptional situations, but I agree that too much attention is given to it, making people believe it is one of the most important features in a DSLR...

The only time I use LV is when I'm asking others to take photos of me (or us if the family is w/ me). Most people don't know how to frame properly from the viewfinder, but they can do very decent job when they can see what's been taken on the LCD

Don't push. You understood what he meant. Just add those decimal points in there.
If you see here ...
"Pentax's new entry level camera with 1200mp Sony sensor(like a700, D300, D90) or 1450mp Samsung sensor(like K20D).
not 1000mp Sony sensor (like K10D, K200D)."
.......... the error is for all, K20D included.

Why go against convention and write using decimals where decimals are not necessary; and then completely forget to add decimals?

But that's all besides the point.

If the new KwhateverD has a better sensor than the K200D's, is smaller and not that much more expensive, I think the K200D will have to shed a lot of $$$ from its pricetag, or risk choking on the dust on the shelf.

...or a K200D Super will born (with a -the- new sensor).

who says they will even release a new low line DSLR? Maybe they will release a superzoom like the Olympus SP570, Sony H50 or Nikon P80. Last time I checked, Pentax did not have a model in this segment. To me it does not make any sense whatsoever to release a model which will trump the K200D less than a year after it's release, talk about surplus of product and confusing the consumer.

It's all speculation anyway and we will see in 3 more weeks.

Sooner than you think K200D is history.

Live view , very important .
Allows the user many more angles , over the head of others and so on, of picture taking .
Pay attention to others using cameras , they use live view and not view finder most of the time , it's easier .

If you don't like LiveView just don't use it. It's simple. I know I'll try it and turn it off.

Personally I think Pentax should focus on other things here ... FOCUSING SYSTEM and METERING. Although the last part is pretty much OK.

And yes, we will probably see a K30D and K300D at Photokina (maybe even a K3D and 645D ... shhh, don't tell anyone) and not some P&S Ultra Zoom (maybe in the background).

I'm hoping for:
- improved FASTER focusing system (11 points 9 cross like now but better - honestly I think you don't need more)
- improved metering
- less than 20MP (far better noise control) - but I think Pentax will go for the pixel count
- same body as K10D/K20D (PLEASE DON'T LET ANYTHING CHANGE IN THAT DEPARTMENT)
- 5FPS or more (and not some quasi high speed 20FPS burst like the K20D has, I'm talking about the real deal)

That's it.

Oh and if they make a FF I'll let it sit for a year or two, because I honestly don't see any advantages other than a larger viewfinder and refraction hitting a bit later with low apertures. I do see many disadvantages tho - cost of body (unless Pentax can bring it for around 1300€), lenses suddenly become shorter, have to sell a couple of APS-C lenses, ...

Sorry for the offtopic, I got carried away.
