Maybe you should sell your old and 3rd party lenses and experiment with the beauty of QSF (Quick-Shift-Focus) and your DAs. I have two non-QSF enabled lenses and every time I use them I end up cursing as I realize I don't have access to that function. I don't see how ANY camera will ever be able to figure out for me what I want to focus on. It would be impossible. It's way faster to focus myself than select a focus point. Sometimes, I even WANT blurry.
I'm not apologizing for Pentax however and would love to see it too.

Well, I sometimes shoot the national basketball league and the K10D with 50-135 sometimes has problems focusing in badly lit arenas - hit and miss and more miss than hit. Other problem is with the 12-24 when I'm shooting in the mountains ... most of the time I can't get a focus lock (I know setting it to MF and infinity would solve that, but sometimes you need AF too). And yes focus does miss ... I'd have a lot more keepers if they improve the AF. Sometimes I use MF or QSF to correct the lens ... the part I want in focus appears in focus in the VF but on the computer the focus is off.

I do love my 50mm and 100mm primes ... getting the 35mm f/2.8 macro soon.

Maybe it's not as bad as I've described but it certainly is annoying enough to at least expect Pentax to correct it.
I bet they'll give us a great upgrade ... at least for us K10D users who skipped the K20D. I'm just a bit worried about what the upgrade will be.

I'm 100% sure that Pentax keep real specification and differences in secret and technical data in ads is typical...

I wait ONLY for NEW AF, 1/8000 and 4.5-5 fps

I see situation in such way:

K250D/300D???? - NEW entry-level camera for pancakes.
K200D - the model between enrty-level and senior cameras. I think it will be discontinued.
K20D - mainstream camera till the summer 2009 with price under USD850
K20D super - I hope with 4.5-5 fps, 1/8000 and new AF under price USD1100-1200

Hoya love to cut costs. It's the most preferred moves. Here is 4 levels.

As for FF - I think K250/300D (???) will change K200D and K1D(?) will be high-end model in 2009.

This is pretty unrealistic expectations though. These are MAJOR specs upgrade. If they have a camera with these specs, they certainly won't call it a K20D Super - it would warrant a brand new camera model name (e.g. K30D).

I tend to disagree with your opinion. The times of small, incremental upgrades are pretty much over for Pentax. Now they want to play in the Major League and they must show it. Even if they add a 4-5 fps camera there is plenty of room for a more expensive one above it with 8-10 fps and lots of other "goodies". If they're smart a K20D Super will battle the D90 as the only movie capable DSLRs of the market. And if they're REALLY smart the only thing missing is a 18-1xx weather proofed zoom as optional kit lens.
D90 bad points are IMO: small raw buffer, no ws, no in body SR. Already K20D has all of those covered. There are strong signals that the new AF system is ready and a new shutter system is also ready. So for me it makes perfect sense to combine this features and sell as many as possible and bring new people to Pentax (and also make a lot of <= k10D owners upgrade!

As Pentax approach I'm referring to : tough construction (metal chassis), weather-seled bodies, good big and bright viewfinders, top LCD's, and many more. - things that help the SERIOUS amateur photographer .
