Thanks for offering these. I can confirm that darktable will not open this version of PEF file. So will need to send in samples to the coders.

Damn. I was hoping to have one by the end of the week - I have some serious concert photography coming up. I'll just have to make do with the two K-1's and two 645Z's I already have.

Yes, real pity. I'm sure we all feel your pain

I'm sure I could adopt some of them to make you life more manageable. Just give me a shout.

You're welcome

@kenspo: nice!
Please take time to post your opinion about the differences from the K-1, after you get the chance to use it a little.

You can't possibly do this concert shoot with that gear !
You'll just have to use your entry-level stuff !!

I know, so boring. I could just buy another Leica Monochrom and write it off as a tax deduction, ooh I could buy another f/0.95 Noctilux too and say i'm using it for 3D video*. The Binaural recording head i'll be using won't be messing with people's senses enough! I'll have stereoscopic video with DOF so thin only one eyelash will be in focus on a full length portrait!! *Evil cackle*

* in all honesty I don't think I have ever made use of the video faculty on a digital Leica M: something feels fundamentally wrong about holding a Lecia M at arms length in the most intrusive manner to record video, using the rear screen as a viewfinder [you can still use the optical viewfinder and the RF patch but parallax can mess things up in unique ways]. Leica M cameras are things you keep close to you, they are supposed to be transparent tools [not in a literal sense] used to record life. And I sure as hell wouldn't be using the Noctilux for such a thing, the tri-elmar perhaps, but the f/0.95 noctilux.. that lens is a focus pullers nightmare.

Lately I’ve been trolling for LN Instamatics and having them CLA’ed by an elderly retired Kodak assembler. Ultimate hip chic for microbrewery open-mic nights.

Hasn't the entire world supply of flash cubes made for those things been utterly spent?

oh wait a second:

No, someone just turned a Kodak Instamatic into the most gauche desk lamp I have ever seen, Andy Warhol and Marcel Duchamp would be in tears. The LED Edison bulb just adds to the overall crassness of the piece...I'm sure that was George Eastman's dream come true.

Nope. I even have 100+ flashbulbs from the S3 era.

* Perhaps not clearly, I was being ironic about the Insta’s but I actually was given an X-sync flash attachment and a large belt-bag of 20ms Sylvania bulbs.
