The book was produced by two hard-working members of the Pentaxians group on FaceBook gratis, all the info is here for those that might be interested in contributing next to year's edition:

There was no selection process you simply had to be a member of Log into Facebook | Facebook and submit your own choice of best photo there was no selection from Stephen and Bela all submissions were accepted as long as supplied in suitable resolution.

Nor were the entries submitted via Facebook they were uploaded via a google drive form.

I believe there is likely to be a 2018 edition.

What is nice is that physical copies can also be bought via the order button at The PENTAXIANS Yearbook 2017

Submission of entries through FB, then selection process, finally invitation to send full resolution copies.

Our local group (PinoyPentaxian) made something similar too, but it is still in distillation stage. This was initiated by Bong Manayon.

@Kunzite, funny you mentioned, where are your works btw? Do you have a page or similar? Just curious here.

How was this wonderful book assembled?
We did it using Adobe Indesign. Since I use this software for my everyday work it was not that hard
Collecting, sorting and showcasing the data in the index was the harder part.

Great idea! I really enjoyed browsing. The portrait section sticks out to me as being particularly fantastic.

A lot of beautiful images there, but I'm sure they would have been even better if taken with some Canikony equipment

The beauty of a photograph is always in the eye of the beholder (and I would add here the creator) but rarely equipment specific

The producers asked for pictures from members of Pentaxians in Facebook. I think it was sometime 3rd or 4th quarter last year. There are a lot of good images being posted in this group.

Notably there was no editing of material by the producers, every image that was submitted and met the technical guidelines was included, a great effort from the contributors.

Might we do this a recurring initiative? This is such an excellent idea !

On a linked idea: Pentaxians or Pentaxians/Ricohnians if might use that word ?
Or a GR book ? That might be nice too

Ricoh GR users are very welcome to the pentaxians FB group - Also all Ricoh GR images would have been accepted because we are one big family. So feel free to contribute to the 2018 issue / if we do it ;-) I think we will
