The 100mm is full-frame. The 60mm is not.

...except that the 60mm is an APS-C lens which happens to cover the 24x36 image circle at macro distances.

I sent an email to Laowa UK yesterday and received one back this morning.

Good morning. I believe they plan to make one with Pentax mount but they have told us there is no scheduled date for implementation / release.

No flat out denial so that's a good sign. Less than 2 weeks for Thomas Shahan's live video.

There are news?
By serching Thomas Shahan Laowa 100mm I have found this photo: Opilionid - Oklahoma | Laowa 100mm focus-stack | Thomas Shahan | Flickr that is take with te Laowa 100mm with a Pentak K3 and in the exif the lens is said is an A series lens so the automatic diafragm that was previously show is probably confirmed.

I missed it live but the Facebook Laowa video is available:
Log into Facebook | Facebook

He talked about the equipment he's using - Pentax K-30 and K-3 - mainly the K-3 - likes the image quality and ruggedness - very tough on his equipment - dropped many time, covered with sweat, DEET etc. Most used lenses at the moment are the Laowa 25mm 5× and the 100mm 2×. The 100mm has aperture linkage (unlike the 60mm) for the Pentax but he didn't know when or even if it would be available. His Instagram said it was custom made (though he may have been talking about the coupling lens adapter on the front).

About 55 minutes in he talks about his Pentax bodies (looking to update but wants a good viewfinder and good video)
About 1 hr 18 minutes talks about favorite Laowa lenses @ ~1:20 talks about the 100mm @ ~1:33 talks more about the 100mm.

Thank you very much, so it is not confirmed a future release to the public for the 100mm Laowa Macro in Pentax K mount, I hope that in the future it can be made.

Well, Thomas Shahan is not a Laowa representative (although he is almost an unofficial "ambassador") so Laowa may not have shared that information with him. Unfortunately I was watching a movie and forgot about the event so I missed it live to press the question. From above the Viet Nam and UK representatives seem to think it will be released although they have no idea of a date either.

Here's the youtube link to the "live" video (for those like me that detest Facebook) skip ahead about 50 minutes, seems to be a lot of dead space before people started asking questions):

From what I got from one viewing of the video is that he values the low-cost, image quality, magnification and convenience of Laowa's all-in-one solutions over the clumsy and cumbersome lens arrays (e.g. stacked lenses, extension tubes, teleconverters). He is not using the 60mm much now since the 100mm has aperture linkage though he prefers the shorter focal length.

In this video (at that very end) Shahan says of the 100mm 2X Macro that "it comes in a wide variety of mounts, with the Canon, Nikon and upcoming Pentax versions having aperture coupling"... His shots continue to amaze as well. Still no date, AFAICT.

Definitely encouraging, in the "live" video he wouldn't or couldn't say if it would be released or not but now he is calling it a "pre-release" version and that it will be available for sale in KA mount. Although he gives no release dates.

Test comparison shots look impressive.

Thanks for sharing. Very promising. Laowa 100mm 2:1 is a must have for macro photography! Cannot wait
