I emailed Laowa UK about the lens again today and got the same response .... there are currently no plans to release the lens in Pentax mount.

my email never got a response, so i'll believe it when i see it. they did update the drop down menu for available mounts on their website, but not for k-mount.

If you are using catch-in-focus you want it set on AF-S. At least that's how my K10D works.

Can confirm that both the K-7 and K-1 do the same.

I always have the body in AF mode for manual glass, I only turn it to MF for screwdrive lenses.

Screw-drive lenses were the first AF lenses by Pentax.
I. personally, use 'MF' mode for manual focus lenses only, which I make seldom use of.

I wonder if they will sell the special reverse adapter they made for Thomas Shahan as well.

The reverse adapter has been cancelled because the image quality is not satisfactory.

Was this a "speed booster" - concentrates the light from a "FF" lens down to "APS-C' frame, thereby increasing the effective aperture??
