What lenses are they expecting to mate with these TC's?

Long, fast, modern telephoto FF optics, for example, are in short supply. Only the 300 f4 or 560 f5.6 might work best optically, but even then their AF performance with a TC stuck on them may be a let down.

I'm definitely down for the 1.4x and maybe the 2x also depending on cost -- I'd love to use these with the dfa's 70-210 and 150-450.

The 2x would definitely be awesome for my 2.8 lenses, the Tamron 300 and Pentax 200 and possibly the 100 macro.

But hey, I'm not going to hold my breath.

TCs work reasonably well with f2.8 lenses. Could transform the DFA70-200 into a wildlife lens, because the DFA70-200 has very good image quality to start with. If such FF TC would come, I might sell my DFA150450 and buy a Sigma 500 instead. A FF TC would make the DFA70-200 more versatile.

One would hope that the tripod foot on the lens would be used and the weight of the K1 and TC together would be well within the mount tolerances.

I should think that developing one or two teleconverters should not be that complicated. Pentax has already successfully developed a converter for APSC glass. It seems to me that the biggest challenge they faced with that converter was the electronics.
