At the end of the article he says "it will be a real shame to see Pentax disappear, but the Pentax K1 mark ii would be a fitting last hurrah"
Although we've all read the writing is on the wall for Pentax in the past it has been easy to dismiss. But to read an article by a respected publication, by a knowledgeable and respected photojournalist is a bit more concerning than random stories from the mass online media. Anyone else read the article or have any thoughts?
I had a conversation with a guy who reviewed the D-FA* 70-200mm before it was released. I asked him if he was reviewing the new D-FA* 50mm that was about to be released. As far as he knows, no samples have been released for review and it sounds like they were scheduled at some point. Maybe he's just not in the loop anymore, but we may be waiting a while longer for a new D-FA* lens.
I mention this because Andy is also a reviewer. Its possible Ricoh canceled the review samples. Writing what Andy wrote will probably damage his relationship with Ricoh as a reviewer..... if he ever had one. You would think he would be careful with what he wrote. Unless there is no reason to be careful anymore. He is not just a writer for AP UK. He is the technical editor.
