I offer to transport the lens to biz-engineer. It will surely reach him... eventually.

I am not aware that the unreleased Pentax lens prototypes transit through Romania before reaching Austrian in case you would plan to intercept it because I receive it.

For girls, you have to select skin tone 2 in K1 or K1 mkr II menus.

I gotta ask MJKloski, is your goal in life to make sure everyone else thinks as little of their Pentax gear as you do?

Can we ask the same to Ogl , which just as well seems to be unimpressed with everything Pentax does lately as the Kp, K-1ii, 50mm 1.4 , etc; and just keep repeating the same things over and over?
Both guys live in places where they have too much dark winters. Apparently being unhappy cheers them up. Both need to move to the Bahamas

I still have no idea either. Did a decent photographer even test it or was it domestic cat and mug of tea snaps? I'd like to see it tested for landscape/nightscape and astrophotography use. I already have bokehlicious lenses for example, the Vivitar Close Focus 28mm f2.0 😉

I'm very happy. But Bahamas is too expensive trip for me. Need to be rich man. Better to fly to Thailand.

Because I'm from the country where it is too dark for most of year, I shall test it before either of you, just to make me little more happy. So it will come through Finland, also there is straght flight from Japan to here, it makes much more sense.

Just as an interesting fact: I live in the lowlands of Bolivia, close to the Amazon. Is hot and sunny all year round, with very few cold days in winter.
Cheers

downsized images posted on the web
The flickr images were available full size - 7360x4912 pixels - 19MB or so JPEGs to download. That's probably what prompted Ricoh to ask for them to be made invisible. He was probably given the lens to try out on the basis that he only post reduced size images. That's a common restriction when handing out beta or pre-release review gear.

So your style tends towards slightly telephoto instead of the slightly wide-angle which is more typical these days?
Actually I used to shoot more wildlife. But a change in health has made it very difficult to carry a 400mm-500mm lens. Over the last few years I have been transitioning more to wide angle and macro shots. I have my K-1 covered from 12mm to 500mm.

I was wondering what characteristic of the 55mm lens would make it desirable in your viewpoint - I find that to be an awkward focal length. I like around 15-20mm for landscapes, 40-45mm for "scenes", and much longer for wildlife.

Well I never really cared for it on ASP-C. On full frame it is totally different. I learned on a K1000. Back then I had a 55 Super Tak, well I still have it actually. Then I acuired a K 50 f2. 50-55mm on full frame just seems normal to me. On ASP-C it seemed awkward, too narrow but not long enough. On full frame I would be quite content with a 24, 35, 50, 90, and 135mm prime. When I shot film that was my setup except the 90 was a 100.

Ahhh! The ever-elusive PENTAXever, scraper of content published elsewhere and displayed as deep links to Flickr with EXIF stripped.

I found the Google-cached version of the Kenny Chi "review":

Google Cache: Kenny Chi "review"

Enjoy
