Originally posted by reh321 I was wondering what characteristic of the 55mm lens would make it desirable in your viewpoint - I find that to be an awkward focal length. I like around 15-20mm for landscapes, 40-45mm for "scenes", and much longer for wildlife.
Well I never really cared for it on ASP-C. On full frame it is totally different. I learned on a K1000. Back then I had a 55 Super Tak, well I still have it actually. Then I acuired a K 50 f2. 50-55mm on full frame just seems normal to me. On ASP-C it seemed awkward, too narrow but not long enough. On full frame I would be quite content with a 24, 35, 50, 90, and 135mm prime. When I shot film that was my setup except the 90 was a 100.
