Regarding the 11-18 do you have that release date on good authority it will be into 2019? Because that is what I was afraid of when D FA 50 kept getting pushed back.

Great news that the D-FA50mm is finally being released. First domino of new lenses in development to fall. I'm holding out for the UWA single focus lens. I know it'll be another monster. Would love something compact like the old M-20/F4 in size. But will have see what Ricoh comes up with.

Not possible to compare these two lenses. The Sigma 50 Art is not available in Pentax mount. Also, it is not adaptable to Pentax K mount.

A better comparison would be against my Leitax adapted Zeiss ZF "Milvus" 50mm f/1.4 lens. Both lenses are the same price ($1200).

So, if any of you buy the new Pentax 50, either we can get together here in Wisconsin with our lenses and K1 bodies and have a nice shoot out; OR you can loan me your new Pentax lens and I'll compare the two lenses by myself.

Yes, it is true that the date has been postponed to 2019 for quality improvements.

With rounded apeture blades I do not think you will get the starbursts produced by the straight apeture blades like those in the SMC DA 15.

Well, the image from the Chinese review shows some great starbursts, Im not sure this is important for this kind of lens though.

Bokeh seems pretty good but is it me or the Portrait, while being nice technically, is not flattering to the lady ?

This has bugged me for a while. Is the price in USD with or without sales tax? Because in Europe advertised retail prices include VAT. When buying online from abroad, after the taxes the prices in euros are the same as in dollars.

At the same time OOF transition are amazing and sharpness is never seen before !
This looks like an incredible portrait lens
