Are there any plans by Ricoh/Pentax for the 100 year mark next year? A celebratory lens, camera, anything planned at all?

Maybe the K-3 replacement is being held back until 1Q/2019 for the 100th Anniversary of Asahi.

Just as LX represented 60 (for roughly the sixtieth anniversary of Asahi Optical), perhaps the new APSc platform (successor to the K-7 platform, which was the base architecture for the K-3) will have a ‘C’ classifier (Roman Numeral 100), leaving ‘K’ for FF.

Pentax KC? Sounds OK for me. But I don't think we will see it in 1Q 2019, more like 3/4Q I think.

Do we now if DA*11-18 will have electronic aperture or controlled with the mechanical lever?

I hope they will change it to electronic one. I find almost no pluses for old design with new high end lenses. But I can be wrong.

It is to allow all of the older models to use it and because the development started way back in time, it stayed KAF 3. (As far as we know now.)

That was Chevrolet and they couldn't figure out why it wouldn't sell in Mexico down through South America.
Coke had to change their labeling in China, I read the original mandarin characters meant "Bite the wax tadpole!"

Making it usable with older cams?
Which is way more important with APS cameras (KAF4 for FF is very different)

The 11-18* lens uses KAF3.
