I'm not sure about that. Yet I am sure this one clearly can.

Absolutely. You should try it too! God gave each of us a wonderfully powerful organ (brain) capable of rather deep decision making not to be tossed aside for blind emotion.

They aren't giving a trophy to everyone - there were cameras rated below the Pentax.
They are all within a range of 1 to 2 and it looks to be only recent releases in that listing. It would be nice to know how they came to those figures and what exactly do they mean.

More so.. have you been drinking tonight?

My wife and I have been married for 39 years now.
My parents were married for 68 years.
"Blind Love" is kind of neat.

Grades differ by same margin, and those slight differences are deadly meaningful

I would hope so. Some of us just want to know what meaning they have. That's all.

You might want to leave that one alone – next thing you'll be imagining him dressed up as a nun...

Based on the german reviews i have seen and/or read, they come up with a few logical categories(this can be objective) and grade each of them.

These categories are not always equal, and considering that these folks are not specialised in camera testing, i think they did a good job.

Of course if the the ratings were different, the order could different, and any one of these cameras could be crowned victorious.

But in the end being in front of canikon* is a victory for pentax, so i would call this a succes.

edit: in front of canon and just behind the D850(i cannot disagree with that, considering specs)

I don't take offense, you're welcome to your view. However, I don't hold a methodological naturalist view of the world. And darwinian gradualism has issues in explaining the reality we're in. I think their is enough proof beyond this that there really is an active, intelligent creator above all the theories and hypotheses that are continually developed in an attempt to say otherwise (and that creator is the God of the Bible). In short, life has meaning and purpose. We're not random bits from a cosmic dice roll. Even if you rolled those die a trillion times you'd still not get what we see in reality.

But, again, you're welcome to your view and I'm sure you have your own reasons.

And yes the operative word is "some", but that was the issue from the start. Reh and others (also a 'some') were upset over others questioning the 'review' and wanted everyone to just be happy over it. But we weren't unhappy over it, we simply didn't have enough data on what the values meant and how they came to those numbers to illicit an emotion either way. They are allowed to cheer this 'news' as we are allowed to ask for more details.

getting people to talk about the point of the thread is something that just doesn't happen on the internet, I'm afraid

Thank you for posting - good to see

All the camera's on that list are great. If you shuffle them, you still have a great list that doesn't loose it's credability. One is faster, the other lighter, one is more seald, the other is a great workhorse, one is the best allround, one is the cheapest, the other the most expensive and so on....

And K-1 and K-1ii are great camera's as they are.

It's one of the odditities, the Pentax site is harder on Pentax than any other type of gear. You can praise Sony or Canon or any other type of gear, everyone nods their little bobble doll heads in agreement. Praise Pentax and you get called a fanboy or worse.

I can point out that most Sony gear wouldn't survive the first few days of one of my expeditions, with Canpn and Nikon gear it's official. They went. They didn't survive. People just go on with their "blah blah blah" not seeming to understand, if your gear isn't rugged enough to survive, it's a piece of junk, not camera. I have seen some very expensive piece of junk on my trips, none of it Pentax. But no one cares. They just go on about "fast AF, or eye-focus" or other "blah blah blah" as if that's more important. They'd rather have a piece of junk that used to have eye-focus and faster AF.c than a functional camera they can actually take pictures with. It's just weird.

It gets old.

When someone says your Sony ARII isn' solid enough to survive one of my trips, folks, that's the end of the conversation. There is no compensatory information that makes up for that. It doesn't matter what you say, it's irrelevant. Once it's broken, it's no longer even a camera. It's a piece of junk.

That is exactly right, Ron. And why I posted it.

Not everyone - but to paraphrase Dr Suess, there seem to be some people who wear shoes several sizes too small
