Just need to see how it handles Coma and I'm sold, if the sample, daytime shots at 1.4 are anything to go by Astro @ 1.4 with soooo much light gathering - exciting

Looks good, though the price and size are hard to swallow. I look forward to comparative reviews with its competitors.

It's definitely hard to swallow, but you're not supposed to!

It will be interesting to see it compared to the DA55 f1.4, Sigma 50mm f1.4 and the many 50mm primes Pentax has produced. Lets hope we'll see a comparison review soon.

Licking is fine.

I also wonder what gear was used to take the photos of the lens and K-1, seems very detailed.

Between Sigma 50mm f1.4 and DFA 50/1.4 what will you choose?

The current Sigma 50mm ("Art") is not available for Pentax.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Sigma stacks up against the new Tokina, though.

There is an older version for Sigma, not Art, but compatible.

These look really nice. There are some very challenging lighting conditions and it looks like the new lends handles them great.

They should. If Pentax released reference potato, it would indeed give reference line, but wrong end of the scale...

So far I've kept wondering when the limit hits and the photographer is wanting something which the lens can't deliver. And what is the pathological use case where the lens doesn't make good photos.
