@biz-engineer:
Well, my talk is consistent with the simple fact that EVFs don't work for me (they're causing me discomfort/pain). As long as that remains true, even a Pentax MILC can't make me happy.
The mirrorless propaganda is a hateful, inconsiderate thing.

IMO, that thread was started when there was a K1 to win if the August post counter would reach 45000. I guess Ricoh Imaging gave a couple of Pentax K1 bodies to help PF fill the void since Ricoh have been silent for a long time and there isn't much to discuss about Pentax. At the moment, there is more genuine talk about Nikon and Canon mirrorless in the non Pentax section, than there is in all other Pentax sections. When PF talk is more about other brands than Pentax, that might be a bit of a concern for the Pentax "share of mind" thingy. When I open Pentax forum website, I get ads for the Nikon Z !!!

No is the short answer.

With Photokina coming up real soon and still no leak or hint about something coming.......we might even not see anything new.

Knowing a bit about accounting, operations etc, I kinda guess what these guys at Ricoh Imaging are doing, and somehow it's good and bad, it depends how we cope with their approach :-)

I don’t know that site: what’s their record like, in picking the most reliable “rumour”? The words are encouraging to Pentax followers, but I imagine we’ll just have to watch the next couple of weeks with cautious interest.

Something. They joined forces with Panasonic for a full frame mirrorless mount is the best we could hope for. The Panasonic G9 has a very Pentaxy look and feel to it.

An adapter for KAF4 lenses would be the best we could hope for with that scenario.

Probably not. Ricoh is pretty tight with their non disclosure agreements and if anyone shares early, probably they get cut off from future relationship with Pentax. Even Asahiman hasn't really shared much lately. I still think the answer of gear to be released before the end of the year is "not much."

We can still hope for previews of glass that will be available in the spring of next year...

Funny, I always thought Panasonic is a natural partner/owner for Pentax, especially if Panasonic is serious about FF and MF. It doesn't make business sense to have all their eggs in one M43 basket. Their SL mount partnership with Leica is not comparable as its not targeted for the mainstream FF market. I do hope you are right.

I hope that Ricoh Imaging will give significant hope for the future, even if there is no new product, the long term is more important than the short term.

Right. Besides, I need some time to recover after purchasing the D FA* 50mm f/1.4
