My SV lasted 20 years, my Program Plus lasted 15 before I retired it in favour om my *ist. It's weird still having a functional camera from 1990, when I don't have the camera from 2006, 2008, or 2010.
The wife's K-5 however looks like a long term deal. I suspect the shutter is going to die on that one before she stops using it. Things have really slowed down... the D800 is more than 5 years old. It was the last big jump. Everything has slowed down. I may have my K-1 for 20 years. Honestly, it takes a great picture, all else is just frills.
I'm not getting excited unless they announce a 20 or 24 mm ƒ4 landscape lens. So I'm already yawning.
