'Hyperbolic' and therefore 'ironic' are the two epithets I would have chosen, personally.

I'm sorry you (and some other North American citizens, apparently) misunderstood me. Cultural differences?
It looks like most people are bipolar nowadays, everything gets taken to extremes, or as gospel, no space for literary liberty.
Don't they teach these things at school anymore?!
Maybe you should expect a visit from the police for making a death threat?

Irixlens will present a new lens at Photokina. I suppose it is the long awaited 45mm F1.4...

I'm not so sure, it being named 'Dragonfly' which is neither Firefly nor Blackstone but something else.

That kind of 45mm manual focus lens is hard to focus on a DSLR. Wide angle is relatively focusable due to short hyperfocal distance and portrait tele are manually focusable because the visual contrast between in focus and oof is fairly pronounced. But around 50mm f1.4 manual focus is a hard one.

Amusingly...everyone expected the Spanish Inquisition! Subects were given 30 days' notice to give them time to prepare their case.

Well, Monty Python wasn't exactly a documentary.
Speaking of which... should I refer to the impairment losses discussed on another thread as "just a flesh wound"?

Last night on blind spot it was "I was just grazed."
Was she lying in a pasture and a cow nibbled on her toe?
I'm working hard to figure it out.

"just a flesh wound"
As opposed to "just a severe psychological disorder caused by being shot"?

They say it like just being shot in the flesh is insignificant. Really, if you aren't shot in the flesh, you aren't shot. And if you are, you could probably die. Where is this part of the body, it's OK to be shot in?

I watch way to many action shows.
But, they raise serious questions.

Only another seven sleeps until Photokina 2018 opens its doors.

If there was going to be a big announcement by Ricoh, I would expect it to be around now, but, as I said before, I’m not holding my breath, although I’m happy to be surprised.
