This is going to be an issue for cactus with the release of their RQ250 model.

The Godox looks sweet. I’m into the Cactus system with 4 x RF60’s and two V6 transceivers. Have been waiting for the RQ250 but Cactus has been slow releasing it....

Already a thread in the flash area of the forum.

FWIW, Godox also have a booth at Photokina, which will soon give people an opportunity to test this trigger out.

I'm having a hard time working out what this works with. I have several manual lenses that I use old cactus triggers with for a strobist setup -- as well as a Pentax AF540FGZii for P-TTL work. This appears to be a transmitter, but what does it transmit too?

I think this image sums it up. It can transmit to some strobes and speedlights directly via radio, and indirectly communicate with other strobes via another radio receiver/trigger:

and this table:

I've seen that image, but there was no info about what that receiver is. The table says its might be a XTR-16, but clicking on that on the website brings me to a product that looks nothing like the receiver in that image.

And when I look at the flashes like the V860ii that doesn't need a reciever, I don't see any Pentax compatible ones - only Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Sony, Olympus/Panasonic.

Nothing is written in a way that makes sense! Like: "Note: The range of support functions: The functions that are both owned by XProP and flash" -- That isn't a sentence

Most of the Godox flahses use a unified protocol. Once Godox gets the signal from the camera body, godox uses it's own protocol to carry instructions to the various flashes. I think the only exception might be TTL metering, but HSS should be usable even if the flash says "Canon"/"Nikon"/"Fuji".

What he ^ said. They unit works with any Godox flash listed in the chart. Each trigger is unique to the Camera brand to which it is attached but the Godox flashes share a common protocol which the trigger transmits to them after translating the camera TTL. EAch flash contains a receiver. A Sony godox flash can be attached to a Sony MIS camera directly or controlled remotely by any of the Godox triggers. They will not be able to control Pentax flash units. I do not know about any separate receiver units. Maybe I missed that.

Looks like a nice bit of kit. Shame the hardware is brand specific - Cactus V6ii just need a firmware change to work on any of Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax or Sigma; only Sony requires specific hardware.

Any indication when this is coming out??

Also, I have non-godox flashes. Is there a way to use this transmitter with them? A pocketwizard connection of some kind, maybe. I was planning on getting the AD200, but I also want the option to use my other flashes too.
