Is Lim 31mm discontinued and new model is coming?

So last month retailers such as B&H, Adorama, local mom and pop shops were selling 31mm around 600-800$. No price is sky rocketed to 1200-1400$. What gives? Is price influenced by Japan earthquake and typhoon, but all Pentax assembly lines are in Vietnam, or is 31mm discontinued and supply is low?
Move if necessary...

Both B&H and Adorama sell FA 31 for $900 at the moment.

Strange thread....Is there the proof of 600 USD price for FA31.
I see FA31 is 900-1100 USD and nothing is changed.
B&H and Adorama sell FA31 for $900 with discount.

Other stores sell for 1080-1100 USD.

Used lenses costs 500-600 USD.

If the stores had any season's discount....But they have such discounts for different lenses sometimes.

If either B&H or Adorama were selling the FA 31 new for $600 i'd have been all over it. As it is a good price used with shipping is around $650 for good condition.

Me too! I jumped on the recent good buy on the FA 77, and I would like to complete my set.
