> Einzigartige Bildergebnisse: Der CCD-Bildsensor liefert 10,2 Megapixel

> Unique Image Results: The CCD image sensor delivers 10.2 megapixels
Resolution. For photos, which are also printed on large poster yet
razor sharp and are highly brilliant.
> Large His small: The Miles in their dimensions is one of the smallest
DSLRs in its class. Tiny 122.5 x 91.5 x 67.5 mm, with slight
Weight 525 grams (body).
> Especially professionally: The high-quality RAW data data (or DNG
PEF), the camera can record, can also directly in
the camera process.
> More freedom: Shake Reduction in housing is standard for PENTAX
DSLRs. It allows photography in adverse verwacklungsfreies
Lighting conditions. With each lens.
> Great Wizard: The integrated manual and automatic right
Setting on a variety of situations, the motive no Km
after. Even the 10 scene programs help ease the best
Image results.
> More dynamics: To the bright and dark areas in more photos
Drawing and depth to achieve, can the momentum scope of the
K-m expand.
> More Stability: The metal chassis is very stable Km. This
is an optimal leadership and sensor and bracket reached.
> Refuel at each kiosk: The Miles works with normal AA
Batteries. Thanks to smart energy management to get a sentence
up to 1,000 images far. This independence provides no battery.
> Future Works: The Miles is prepared, with modern
ultraschallangetriebenen lenses to work, it comes naturally
But even with mechanical autofocus clear.

With any online or paper dictionary you would have found out that "wacklung" = "swaying"... and "freie"="free".

After that you do not have to be rocket scientist to find out that "verwacklungsfreies Fotografieren bei ungünstigen
Lichtverhältnissen" is ~"shake free photography in unfavourable lighting conditions".

Are you proud of not speaking other languages or what?

it was obvious it referred to poor light in some manner however untranslated in a purely english context when the rest was translated it seemed to me like swearing and I thought it funny.

I meant no disrespect to anyone or any language and my sincerest apologies if you found it offensive.

Apparently not sealed... Maybe they (probably correctly) thought that tha woudl not b a dealbreaker in the entrylevel market. After all, Pentax still has the smallest and cheapest sealed camera out there with the K200D, no need for yet another smaller cheaper sealed one, iunless the others come up with one at K200D level.
While I'd love a sealed KMD a sealed zoomlens with a more allround range than the two DA* lenses was, is and will be higher on my wishlist...

That translation is made by some on line translator?

I doubt that human translator would not make such a lousy work we see here through the text.... so you should not just look the translated text but the original.

You should see what kind of "translations" these on line jokes make with Finnish language

You barely understand the topic. That is: if they are speaking about cameras or international politics

122,5 x 91,5 x 67,5 mm (B x H x T)

ca. 525 g (nur Gehäuse)
ca. 590 g (mit SD-Karte, mit lithium Batterien)
ca. 625 g (mit SD-Karte, mit 4x AA Batterien)

600grams!!! Too heavy and too big.
Pentax made a second entry level dSLR and it will compete against K200D.
This is a big disappointment. Why can't they ship all dSLR's with the same charger and battery I got with my K10D? Where is the new dSLR for pancake lenses?
One of the reasons people buy the K200D is because it's cheap and have weather sealing.
People would only buy this one if it's dirt cheap.

As for "normal" (with the exception of the Oly 420) mounts it is smaller than all.
Even the 420 is only smaller in one dimension (okay, two if you can notice the difference betweeh 91,5 and 91 mm). In SR land it really is the smallest one!! It is smaller than the Oly 520.
If you compare the weight, wll okay it is 30 grams heavier than the 520. Wow, backbreaking difference,,,,

Not really sure about the entry level of teh K200D, many here and others have the opinion that the K200D is somewhat above entry level, too much in fact to get a decent market position in that area.

Tekade sells the K200D + 18-55 for exactly the same price as the KMD+kit offical price.... By the way the OFFICIAL K200D + kit price is € 799,00
I certainly hope they do not use the same "downpricing for the KMD, that would surely mean the end of tekade and Pentax.
While I agree that a sealed KMD would be nice... well K200D is still smallest and cheapest if you really want that... Sealed KMD would really kill the KxxxD series.

K200D is logical choice for those looking for an small cheap sealed dslr and not finding it in the KMD, the next step would be K200D.

Dpreview hands-on just published.

AF.A mode, no Fn and SR button [via menu] redesigned interface, no sealing [maybe asking too much ], the smaller but the heavier one.

The L lenses have no quickshift and are avaible only in kit [ i was looking for the "El Cheapo" 55-200!]

I think it does a good job in differentiating from K200D.
