Next question - who makes the sensor?

(I think we might have to wait a while on that one)

I bet we 'll see optional smaller AF points in Pentax cameras then as well. The GR III now has "pinpoint AF" select mode.

Since it's still a prototype, maybe they can add it by spring time ? Even if not, I guess they can apply the ultrasonic sensor shake tech to remove dust too, can't they?
Well, it's got IBIS and AA simulation, so no reason not to

Looks like an ideal compact camera:
- touch screen
- chargeable via USB
- Wifi (should probably have tethering)
- full HD
- face-detection
- clip-on viewfinder accessory

Also, USB-C should allow fast-charging

Yes, I suppose so, too. The specs list SR as DR tool.

Actually, the Japanese site does mention it: "Image sensor cleaning using ultrasonic vibrations "DR II""

Quite underwhelming IMO, simply because it's not actually being launched yet. The specs seem mostly final to me.

As many predicted, they appear to be incorporating as much Pentax DSLR tech as possible into the new GR. It will be interesting to see how the new touch UI plays out. As for everything else, it simply couldn't be any other way after 5+ years.

One thing GR fans will probably be really happy about is the addition of dust removal, since dust was a complaint with previous models.

The interesting part is that it has a 2 EV ND Filter, buuut only takes UHS-1 memory cards.
The SD standard is by definition backwards-compatible, so that can't be right. Regardless, just about every card is UHS-I these days.

Also, the GR and GR II both have the ND filter feature already.

I wondered what pinpoint means. Sounds good.

Look like a solid Pentax camera specs, but with no new technology to expect in future dslr body. And still no 4K or 120 fps movie mode.
