can you ask at Ricoh's stand?

1. Is there acceleration unit in camera?
2. Will they add 4:3 and 16:9 format ?
3. Will be the new battery for camera? Better than old one?
4. Is there built-in flash?
5. Will be new accessories for GRIII? Which?
6. Is there any weather sealing?

3. i think i read somewhere that they had a new battery registered for the GRiii
4. from the photos we can 99% assume that there is no flash.. and is missing from the prod.description aswell
6. 99% not..else it would be mentioned in the product description

i hope that we can use the same accessories.. plus some more
Anyway, an official statement and some more infos, sample photos would be nice

Looking at DPR’s photos of the prototype, there are some changes to the controls. Also, I think the hot shoe cover looks like it has been designed to expose a connector at the back, which makes me think an EVF accessory may be in the cards.

Yes, and there is a wheel around the 4way controller. I assume this can take some functions

It seems to me it will have EVF. No TAv.

it's my GXR - the same solution - hot-shoe + EVF connection

I think this is a good upgrade from the GRII, especially considering they made it even smaller than before. I am a bit disappointed they did not put in an optical viewfinder.

Now if they would just reintroduce the GR1v film camera for dinosaurs like me…

The mode switching wheel is definitely not a final design lol, GRII has a beautifully textured one there.

Im guessing exposure comp will be done by the spinning wheel around the controls.

Not sure how I feel about them removing the switch in the back, I use the back af button sometimes when I need to reposition after focusing.

Also, why did they occupy the fn button with the Menu function, it's actually pretty comfortable to have the menu button be in the middle of the joystick.

Hope a working prototype will be shown this year, need to see how different the control scheme is.

I wonder a bit about the changed button layout, no TAv. Well, let's see how to deal with it once there is the manual online.
