I didn't see a link to this GRIII first impressions at Photography Blog with sample images both JPG and RAW.

They had a production GRIII on the streets of London for the CP+ launch.

Seemed to be an honest first impressions review. They were lucky to get to test drive the GRIII on the streets of London and share the experience.

What I think they meant was the GR and GRII share the same 2013 16mp sensor. The GRIII's 24mp sensor is the major upgrade.

On a whole the PhotographyBlog first impressions sound like what was to be expected. Stellar image quality. Battery life. etc. :^)

I’ve written elsewhere K-1 is the flagship. If you want clues about the next APSc body look at GRlll and Theta Z1 (Touch Screen, OLED, hybrid, Bluetooth, OLED, OLED).
Not sure the DA*11-18 fits the 'OLED' mantra.... ....though it would be great to see a high resolution OLED back screen. And a monochrome OLED top display... and maybe, just maybe, a hybrid OVF/OLED viewfinder on the next top-spec APSc. Just so long as it still has an OVF!!!

The 24mp sensor and shake reduction is a big step ahead over the 2015 GRII add in 14bit RAW along with the new GR Engine 6 and the Accelerator Unit the GRIII will deliver far superior files.

The GR II is an excellent second camera, Vladimir - I've got one. The GR III is even better as the specs show.

You can't lose either way.

You seem to do excellent urban shots, this could be particularly handy for you.
