The kits are already live in Germany, at least at my prefered seller, and they include the KP or K-70 and the 3 lens combos posted by you (K-70 also has a 16-85 and 55-300 Plm lens combo available). Also prices are somewhat reduces compared to a few months ago.

That latter combination is attractive. Are they official kits from Ricoh, or a package put together by the retailer? I ask that because certain retailers here in Japan have been offering “sets” of those cameras with a lens (sometimes even Sigma) but anything official is called a “kit”. What is new here is official kits from Ricoh that should be available everywhere.

It’s an interesting way of extending the shelf life of cameras. It’s like they withhold the kit at first and offer it later as a stimulus. I wonder why they are not offering the KP with the DA20-40, which is what they show in most publicity shots.

I am pretty sure that they are not official kits, only bundled together by the seller (but have no evidence of it). They also sell the K1 II bundled with the DFA* 50 (1000€ extra, the lens alone is 1200€).

They are really smart, they sell new cameras as demo models with a small price reduction, and probably the same with lenses, just did not buy one yet (as a demo) to find out.

An updated 18-50 plm is long over due. What new user would pick up a camera with a screw drive lens and prefer it to a faster, quieter one.

The 18-50 is a DC lens, not screw drive.

A clarification: it's the smc Pentax-DA L 18-50mm f/4-5.6 DC WR RE which is included in the two K-70 kits. (not the HD Pentax-DA 18-50mm f/4-5.6 DC WR RE.)

also from nokishita:

Ricoh's R02010 is expected to expect the Pentax brand new SLR because Bluetooth is not described in the GR III developed and announced last month (although Bluetooth may be added in the product version).

Could it be the dealers / Ricoh are starting to reduce their inventories of APS-C bodies?

OK. I can see that different countries (especially Europe) have different kit options. I'll edit the original post to clarify it refers to Japan.

I think that the USA currently has the same restricted options that Japan had. I wonder if the same kits will be available over there too.

BHPHoto has no such K-70 kits, by the way.
But they have Pentax KP DSLR Camera with 18-135mm Lens Kit (Black) B&H Photo KP+18-135
