I can see this replacing both my DA*50-135 and DA*60-250. And possibly my DFA*70-200. I have primes for the shallow DoF stuff.

Exciting. An essential lens to any brand's FF lineup imo. I'm surprised they didn't launch this years ago, but glad it is seemingly coming soon at least.

I'm not one of the people who will be buying this lens, I don't think I'll ever be buying it, but I'm excited nonetheless! I can't wait to see this, the 85mm and the new camera along with whatever else they're planning on releasing!

I probably won’t be, either, as my old FA*80-200/2.8 serves me pretty well, and I can’t see the IQ from this new lens being an improvement on it (the D FA*70-200/2.8 possibly is, but it’s a lot more money for not much improvement, except perhaps for AF speed and WR). Still, it’s a start for the new non-*/non fast aperture/not-so-expensive D FA lineup.
