If ISO 819200 is actually a genuine requirement for you, you're going to be disappointed with the KP - or any other camera, from any manufacturer

Honestly, I think you should look seriously at other brands. The issue is that video is important to you and for Pentax, video is an after thought. They will continue to include it on their cameras, but they aren't going to invest a bunch of effort into bring lots of video options to their cameras. Their focus is definitely more on still photography and the still photo experience.

Nice to see Ricoh taking one of the larger spaces this year, should be more eye catching than previous years.

Proof, if we ever needed it, that pentax marketing eschew proofreading and continue typing with their elbows.

Don't. You know what they say: it ain't the size [of ISO range] that matters, it's what you do with it

Benefits for visiting the booth
Please bring your PETAX and RICOH camera models along to the Ricoh Imaging booth. Each person who shows us their product at the information counter will receive a special sticker.

Small errors like PETAX seem to happen often.
After seeing this little discussion about the less than perfect English on that page, I wondered how other brands do with the English version their Japan websites.

I was astonished to find that Ricoh is the only one to have a control to change the interface to English. All the other ones I checked assume you want to navigate to another country's site.
??????? | ??????
?????
??????????????????????
???? | ?????????
https://www.sony.jp/cyber-shot/ <= "Cybershot" in the URL is a blast from the past!

So Ricoh might have some awkward wording and errors, but at least they make the effort to communicate in English in the first place. I think they are doing OK. There is some meaningful content on the page itself and the associated special sites for K-mount and the GR.

I would Ricoh/Pentax put a sticker "Pentax" or so, in the box of every new lens or camera (like Apple do) i mean the cost are literally cents and the toy/tool in the box arent cheap.... (i want to put a PENTAX sticker on my laptop)

It looks like a translation error (rather, a spelling error during translation); the Japanese version says PENTAX.

PETAX is proof of the brand diminishing into nothingness, for now, from 6 to 5 letters - but who knows tomorrow?
Petax is domed!

Hehe, it’s astonishing, isn’t it. Here we are, casually discussing ISO 819200, and even 12800, and back in the day when we shot Kodachrome, it was ISO 25 or 64! How far we’ve come.
Yes, my wife still remembers when we were grad students, and ASA 400 film allowed me to take indoor photos in well-lighted places without flash.

What Fuji goes to 81900? I can't even find one. Go to Imaging Resources and look at the 81900 images. I can't find a Fuji that even has one. The Nikon D5 looks to be the best of the bad at 81900 though. For an APS-c the K-P looks OK.

I would give a few hundred 円 for a Pentax sticker. Slightly less for a Petax one.

I was excited not too many years ago about having ISO 800 print film. How I wish I could have taken even the K200D through a time warp to photograph comet McNaught, which was the last time I used "high speed" film.
