When I have it...THEN you'll see bragging.

They even have the date in big bold red on the product page now, not 'expected' or 'predicted' but 'due':

Ricoh GR III Digital Camera

This is encouraging...

This camera really threw a wrench in my LBA strategy ... wondering what will happen with some of my lenses after the gr arrives

All I know is that they've told me they expect stock on the 15th. From other recent releases like the K-1, it would be expected that Europe would get stock first.

However, I'll believe it when I see it in my hands.
Ordered my camera in Norway, the shop emailed me today saying they are estimating the camera arriving on Monday.

I would think only the wide-angle lenses might "be in danger".

Ricoh has added a detailed FAQ on the GR III to their support pages. It’s in Japanese for now, but following past precedent, it should be up in English in about a week.

GR III|???????FAQ|????&???? | RICOH IMAGING

The Manual is also up - this time English is available.

Good god. I can't wait to get ahold of this thing.
I’ve thought I would be happy to keep using my GR and let this one go.

Ahem.

The store I have preordered from is some 200 miles away. I'm considering driving to pick it up rather than waiting until tomorrow for the courier.

I expect to have mine on Monday. Tuesday at the latest.
It will be my first GR, so nothing to compare it to.
Excited.

You have your existing camera. You might think it's chalk and cheese, but personally I've hardly touched my DSLR since having a GR.

Having top-notch IQ in your shirt pocket 24/7 is very liberating.

I reckon everyone should have an alternative camera, and it should be as different from their regular one as possible.

I reckon it's a pretty grim personality that can't diversify and improve their photography as a result.

(Laughs).

That's really pushing the envelope.

The thing is, it does achieve a completely different look, and can obviously generate two or three stunning keepers from a holiday or whatever.

A 1" sensor (two?) is now real quality.

To me personally, the liberating step was having zoom, which allows me to choose perspective and framing separately, then a separate zoom that allows me to put more pixels on distant subjects. That is why there is more than one camera in the world.
