Let's not forget either aperture control block failure too, for some Pentax cameras.

I had two Canon Rebels in a row suffer from what appeared to be processor issues. They are now in the Landfill. My K-30 continues on using aperture ring equipped lenses.

Look, not to be angry, they're the camera owners who highlight the problem
In the discussions here, the ones who own GRiii, the ones who own the so-called 'problem', are happy with it. The complaints are coming from others.

edri, you're going at this in the wrong way.
You're one of us, I have no doubt about that. My guess is that you're concerned about a "second SDM", a "second aperture mechanism". The thing is, you cannot stop defects from happening - even less so minor plays in controls which don't affect the functionality.

The thing is, Ricoh properly handles this minor issue; they published a list of possibly affected serial numbers, and will repair the cameras for free.
We should not punish them for doing the right thing.

Trolls create the need for forum moderators, like software viruses create the need for anti-virus software. Duality is in everything.

Even if the wobbly dial doesn't affect operation and doesn't worsen over time, it's still an embarrassment for Ricoh and suggests that the product is of low quality, which will put people off. At least Ricoh are acknowledging the fault and fixing it (for free, I understand). Cough* SDM * cough.
On the Fuji XF10, the entire camera is a (big) wobble

When I checked a couple of minutes ago, it was listed "in stock" at B&H
{but, they aren't shipping anything during Passover}

Hope this will allow me to make a DNG profile for infrared. I couldn't until now, the DNG profile editor telling me something like the operation cannot be completed each time I try to change something or save the changes. I'll give it another go this evening...

I just checked... the tiny GR III has an average SD card write speed in excess of 60MB/sec.
