This is nothing more than an unsubstantiated meme. The sharper the lens, the easier the editing: one has more matter to work with.
And there could be awful CA if your model is wearing green eye shadow.

Just a little note: one taking picture, showing it to her and mentioning it to her, oh but it must be because your skin is imperfect..will be doomed..and taken under

I suppose I should be taken under for my poorly crafted satire. I'll be posting all of my Pentax gear for sale shortly.

If one edits much - with the KP I usually just crop if anything - 24mp JPEGs produced by that body are plenty for me.

You just had to increase the saturation (satirization? heh) slider on the post. If it makes you feel any better I got it... though I had to apply some dehaze to see it properly

He was told a lens would be announced this year. He thinks it's the HD Pentax-D FA★ 85mm f/1.4. Indeed, what better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary than to do it with a new 85mm f/1.4 ★ lens? The lens might benefit from a new coating.

Fellow Pentax Forums member JPT thinks the guy is legit. The alleged new coating could be Aero Bright Coating III.
By the way, this week's Ricoh Imaging patent is about coatings - they never stopped developing them, so ABC III (or HD II) is plausible.

If the post about a possible ABC III is correct, waiting for the patent could explain the delay. Will be interesting to see what is on the lens.

What do you mean by that? One doesn't wait for a patent; one files a patent request, the patent request is published (usually after one and a half years), eventually the patent is granted, or not. Protection commences on the day of the filing.

As Mistral said, nope. You normally start working before even filing the patent.

Indeed. You file a patent request only when third parties are about to be made aware of what you are working on (e.g. contractors or suppliers).
