I've always kept an eye on the 31 ltd and 77 ltd , but the price is now > 1250 $/Euro, it is too expensive for f1.8 lenses, they should be priced between $750 and $950, they would sell better.
Perhaps they don’t want them to sell ‘better’ (I presume you mean more Units). They’re Limited lenses. Perhaps these are the optimal prices for gross profit as a function of volume and branding.

I think they know more than you and I do.

All the trolls who claim Pentax is a dead company that only sells rebadged Tamron and Tokina lenses should be forced to watch this (which is why I think they’re doing the special sites).

Bah. They would say it was filmed in a Tamron factory.

(For better performance, they should also place the video on YouTube, not run it off their own server).

They actually have made this available on YouTube, which is indeed sensible and commendable:

All this talk of new limiteds has me drooling for a nice compact prime with somewhere between 20 and 24mm! Unfortunately good copies of FA20 and FA*24 are hard to come by now. It leaves quite a hole in the range at the moment as many of us are not keen to lug a HDFA 15-30 around (let alone afford it).
Would love something like a HDFA 23 f2.4 Limited.

D FA20/2.8; D FA24/2; D FA30/2.8; D FA35/2 would be a porter-carry bag.

Did anyone notice the K-50 being used as a test mule at 1:40? Apparently not all were bad.

Well dang! I thought I was OK with my 77, 43, 31, and 15. After going through the site and reading through the thread, it's going to be really hard not to start watching B&H for the next blow out.

And the 20-40 is sounding like it should be on the "inevitable" list.....

Only got the DA 35 macro. Love it.
I am still trying to choose between the 15 and 21.
I would also like the 70.

Ricoh may have done the site for the 100 year anniversary, and good on them.
Whilst everyone debates cameras, we can boast these lenses.
They are both amazing lenses, but the 21 is easier to get a handle on due to the fact that it is wide but not ultra wide. IQ is amazing with both. They both deserve the Ltd label so either way you will enjoy your choice. (I went 15 first but might never have bothered if I had gotten the 21 first.)

Maybe a 200/4 could qualify as compact, but it'd probably be stretching the definition a bit.
At 8cm length (about 15% longer than the DA Limited Zoom),
the Voigtlaender 180/4 is about the closest you'll get to that,
especially if you want to keep the "Limited" 49mm filter size.

I’m convinced. Since no one seems to want to buy my mint sliver copy I just withdrew it from the Marketplace.

That's fabulous. They should run it as an ad.
