Ah yes

I would love to read all the screaming around here should Ricoh release another update to the K-1 before a new APS-C body

That's the K1 II with Accelerator++ and with A.I. educated exposure (when you press the shutter, if the composition doesn't follow the rule of third, the camera won't take the picture)?

interesting, but doubt they would release a new full frame camera before releasing at least some lenses that are on the roadmap...

During one of the interviews during CP+, the Ricoh spokesman said the K-3ii replacement would come before any "FF" body.

Yes, on the 1st of April at 0:41 local time.

There is also the Pentax FK-1 (E-mount 24x36 mirrorless camera): FK-1 - pełnoklatkowy bezlusterkowiec Pentaksa - Optyczne.pl

FK-1 - Pentax full-frame mirrorless camera

Right now on May [sic!] 1, 2019, Ricoh announced the launch of the full-frame mirrorless Pentax FK-1. It will be a completely new design, combining tradition with modernity.

Pentax can surprise their fans, as in February 2012, when the first digital mirrorless camera of the company was introduced, namely the K-01 model. There was some controversy that mainly concerned the appearance of this camera, designed by Marc Newson. This design, however, proved to be too bold for the conservative users of the brand's equipment and the K-01 was not very successful.

This time the company swears that they will not make a similar mistake again, and the appearance and form of FK-1 were designed with the participation of long-time owners of film cameras of the brand. We cannot rule out that the comments on our website have also contributed to the improvement of this project to some extent, as the producer emphasizes it combines 'tradition with modernity'.

For the time being the detailed specifications of the camera are not known but Ricoh reveals some interesting facts. First of all, the camera will use the Sony FE bayonet, which has been 'released' already 8 years ago. Thanks to this, future users will gain access to a rich portfolio of lenses, manufactured not only by Sony, but also by Zeiss, Sigma or Tamron. Along with the camera, there will also be a K-FK adapter allowing to connect lenses with K mount to the new mirrorless camera. However, some users of the world's largest Pentax forum are worried about whether the engineers will be able to provide compatibility with Limited lenses.

The resolution of the new sensor is not indicated but it is said to have 'around 50MP'. Noteworthy is the autofocus system, based on artificial intelligence algorithms. It is equipped, for example, with a special personal neural network learning module, which will allow to fine-tune the way of working to the needs of the user. This will apply, for example, to the AF speed, so that the change in sharpness does not occur too rapidly.
I very much like the last sentence!

Of course, those fields in the EXIF may be freely edited.

No worries, it isn't every website that can get excitement from an April Fool's joke 4 days later.
