No one missed the point. What you missed is the talk sometime ago about the Japan Pentax site showing the K-m being marketed some towards women.
And quite obviously being marketed as such. You don't even have to be able to read Japanese in order to figure it out.

I think it would probably be a great option for someone who wants a 10MP dedicated M42 shooter.

It looks very similar to the leather case that holds my 50's era Leica (can I say Leica on a Pentax forum?)

Canon, Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Sony(Minolta), Hasselblad, Mamiya, Linhof, Sinar, ARCA Swiss, Cosina, Fujifilm, Kodak, Minox, Carl Zeiss.

Might've missed a few.

Let the flaming begin.

That reminds me, must step up plans to wipe the scourge that is Lomography from the face of the Earth.

I suppose the real crux is...do you like the idea of being able to pay more for some shiny Swarovksi, or would want better features in the guts of the camera?

I see the Pentax philosophy starting to die a slow death here...form over function, instead of the other way around.

Lol. No kidding. It was my dad's and I recently bummed it off of him. My first thought when I got it was hmmmm, I wonder if I can get the other lenses for this on ebay.

Agreed. It looks like a fun camera. I'll have to wait and try one out personally before I decide to buy one, though, as I'll be buying it mainly for the size and weight.
