BTW, don't be mistaken. The article on dpreview show some Sony sensor to polish further the image of Sony camera, and trigger new sales, that's pure marketing, not even sure Sony was involved for this article. Any idea good for selling more camera is being used. I've really how much almost all online content is directly or indirectly aimed at selling something.

Canon research clearly doesn't think that group exists anymore.

If they're not serious about photography as a hobby, people will use their phones that they've already paid a lot of money for.

Canon think the market will bottom out in two, three years time at between four and six million hardcore enthusiasts annually.

People lukewarm about picture taking won't be buying a camera - MILC or DSLR.

To me, it seems Pentax did test the market of hipsters wanting more than their phone could do. The product was the K-S1 and seems to have failed (I actually bought one because it was tiny!). I don't think they'll try again, they got their answer.
Richo's executive chef said that some customers will be back for getting DSLR again in future, I wonder how many people will do it, at least I prefer DSLR,
when you use EVF, seems you are watching a picture on internet before screen, I don't even get a feeling of taking shots when I try mirrorless ( ´Д`)y━・~~

Ricoh Imaging delays the k mount primes lenses so that they will be released when customers will come back to DSLR (in the future, future, future..). That's very smart

I don't recall the sensor make/model used in the Samsung NX1 but it is very good both with nice natural details and colours and 28.x mpix.

Ricoh (not Richo) will release it when it's ready.

Samsung's own, IIRC - nice tech, BSI, had fast readout so could do 4k video, etc - but nobody else has run with it, so it seems to have died along with their whole camera line.

Am I corrrect in thinking that neither one had an EVF??

I'm not sure any MILC has really succeeded without EVF.
