CWRailwayman...Denny...RIP

Sad news.

Denny has gone, his enthusiasm for motorcycle touring was the cause.

He liked small cameras of late but used Pentax in the film era and into the digital times. Some Dslrs ,but his posts on the forum were most notable in the Q section.

That's very sad indeed Looking at the thread on the Fuji X forum, it seems this might have happened back in March. His last login here was on the 15th June, so this must have been a very recent event.

From his posts on PF and the few interactions I had with him, Denny seemed like a very nice chap. He was an outstanding model railway builder, and his photos of those models were remarkably realistic.

My thoughts are with his family...

I haven't had any interaction with him. But when you hear someone from a group you are involved in dies, it normally brings sad news.

The combination of his detailed miniature railroad photos with his motorcycle photos always gave him a special status when I perused the Q section. He is missed.

Oh wow, he logged on to the m4/3 site yesterday... I hope there's easy riding for him in the Great Beyond.

Was he one of the 7 motorcyclists killed in this accident?

It would appear not, Tom. Those unfortunates were local to the area...

How very tragic, for our member; and the 7 in this crash. This really upsets me, as I used to be an avid rider.

May he rest in peace. His posts here were interesting and fun. Despite how sadly it ended, he's one who definitely "got busy living" and I'm glad for the living he did and what he shared from it.

Shocking indeed, Mark Hopefully the families can take at least a little comfort in knowing that their loved ones passed doing something they enjoyed

Maybe so Mike. But 7! And just when I think it would be nice to own a motorbike again. Perhaps not.
