I don't know the circumstances, just that it was motorcycle related.

The first news article about the New Hampshire accident says that the eastbound motorcycles collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by a 23_year_old.. Based on lawyer advertising around here, there is a belief that drivers sometimes don't look carefully enough for motorcycles before making a turn; since this happened close to a motel, perhaps someone was going to/from the motel. New Hampshire is a mountainous state with limited view-lines. They will eventually sort this out - we may even notice what they say.

How did you get any news at all, since you live in Australia and he lived in Arizona? - the letter 'A' isn't much commonality

My condolences to his family. It should be sorted out rather quickly since there were eyewitnesses to the accident with plenty of daylight at 6:30 PM. It would be very hard to miss that many headlights since most state regs mandate motorcycle lights on all the time. From the carnage its pretty clear the truck and trailer ran right through the group of riders and highway speeds.

I met him on the Q section initially, then saw his postings on the M43 forum. The last few years he has been using Fuji as his main system.

He contributed regularly(on Fuji) and the news came from there.

His wife Sharon wasn't involved in the accident.

Two widely separated accidents are being mixed in this thread. The New Hampshire accident involved people from New England - Denny was in a completely different accident, probably a couple thousand miles away.

Perhaps this thread could be moved to the Q section, where he was well known.

His latest profile update showed him using "Q" and a bunch of Fuji cameras.
IIRC, several Christmases ago, he gave several "Q" systems to fellow modelers to get them interested in it also.

I was just thinking that many Q forum members may miss this thread, and not know that he has passed.

I'm saddened to hear the news, to me Denny was a skilled model railroad guy and a good fellow Q shooter.
My condolences to his family.
