Instagram is very popular for displaying work to win clients, because you tag them.
It's the commercial attraction that makes it different from FB and Twitter. Like YouTube, so much money can be made from it that people can earn their living as influencers.
It is of course basically a phone app, so it has enormous reach. Young people are obsessed by their phones hour to hour scrolling through their social feeds and many don't and won't ever own a desktop computer.
