By the way, it's not AOC but AOCo: Asahi Optical Corporation.

Perhaps it's a good thing I can't get this awesome gear in the U.S. I would spend more than I probably should. Ricoh has really put together a fantastic collection for the 100th anniversary. I am envious of my fellow Japanese Pentaxians.

No. Only the hot shoe cover is or will be available outside Japan.

T-shirt eh?

Well check this out.

This t-shirt showed up in my mailbox today. No note inside the envelope, and I had no idea it was coming. I don't mean to be unappreciative, because it is cool they elected to send one out to me, even in my size, but I really want the hotshoe cover.

Pentax K-1, Pentax A28mm f2.8.

I can't recall ever sending in a registration card, or registering online and I have 4 Pentax DSLR cameras, all bought new. One from a local retailer, the *ist DL, two from B&H, the K10D and K5IIs, and one from Adorama, the K-1.

The only connection I can think of is the Pentax Photo Gallery, and I don't recall ever giving anything more than my e-mail address.

Also, how did they know my shirt size?

Curiouser and curiouser... Maybe @Adam is the connection. Have you ever bought a PF T-shirt?

Maybe they guessed? We don't share any data with third parties (nor do we have access to specific shirt orders).

It shows that Pentax Forums are important to Ricoh Imaging USA: they are sending presents to a distinguished moderator.

Distinguished moderator? You're too kind!

cheesy

Adam has confirmed that neither he or Pentax Forums had any influence.

I'd be interested to know if any other Pentaxians have received one though.

Yes, I was thinking along the lines that while Adam was speaking to one of his contacts at Ricoh the rep said something like "I can send some some stuff to your staff, I'd need names and addresses". But this isn't the case.

So the mystery remains as to how Ricoh got your name and address and the fact you are a Pentax owner. The size is probably a matter of luck.
